About AMD Foundations

AMD Trust registered under the Indian Trust act 1961 (Reg.no. 64/2003) with 80G (5) (vi)- order no.7162 E (35) CIT- II /TRY/2008-2009/ 13.02.2009 was founded and authored by Mr. A. Mohan Doss, the Managing Trustee. The Trust runs an aided Tamil medium elementary school for students from 1st to 5th at Tiruvarur and livelihood programmes for marginalized women.

Mr. A. Mohan Doss while working in the revenue department witnessed the miserable condition villagers were living in, especially women. He decided to spend his spare time and earnings through his salary and agricultural income to improve the standard of living for at least a few women. Looking at the successful results this initiative produced, he started to expand it with the help of the other two trustees.
